Gift Cards for your Holiday Shopping - Deadline to return order forms is Dec 7th
By now you would have received our Scrip Card order form in your child's backpack. Gift cards are the perfect practical and personal gift, allowing the recipient to treat themselves to something nice, or even something they need. As a reminder, this is a no-cost fundraiser where we earn money back on every gift card you purchase through this program. With the holidays approaching, please consider using this program to buy for family, friends, teachers, bus drivers, etc. And, stock up on more cards for your grocery shopping. For each $25 Stop&Shop or Shoprite card ordered, Amsterdam earns $1. Please return your scrip card orders by December 7th.

Invest in Your Child - Make your 2012 Tax-Deductible Donation before December 31st
As we are nearing the end of 2012, consider making a tax deductible donation to ASHA. The Invest in Your Child program was first implemented last year to allow parents to make a monetary donation to ASHA in lieu of purchasing products from our many fundraising drives throughout the year. Your donation goes to support the many programs that we sponsor such as Assemblies, BMX Bike Show, Dinosaur Dig, Science Fair, 4th Grade Day, Young Author's Day, Field Trip Busses, Playtime in Science, Teacher Grants, Art Appreciation, Red Ribbon, Variety Show, Family Fun Activities, 100th Day Celebration, Student Planners and Folders, Outdoor Classroom, T-Shirts and much more. ASHA spends approximately $75 per student each year. Donate today on CommunityPass by selecting Invest in Your Child from the drop-down menu OR send in a check with your child in an envelope marked ASHA-Invest in Your Child. (Note: Donations will not replace solicitation for class parties).

Volunteers Still Needed for 2 ASHA programs
Craft Fair (May 2013) Description/Responsibilities: Coordinate a craft fair with vendors providing inexpensive items for students to purchase for family and friends. Involves coordinating vendors, distributing flyers to students, posting signs at school, and being present the day of the event to organize tables and other event details.

Variety Show (Feb 22, 2013) Description/Responsibilities: Includes working with music teacher, Mr.Miller, sending out Variety Show info to parents, coordinating volunteers, dress rehearsal, and ticket distribution.

Please consider volunteering to chair one of these programs. We have made these jobs very manageable and you will be provided with all prior year notes and info to guide you.
