4th Grade Donations for Variety Show this evening
If you signed up to donate snacks or drinks for the Variety Show, please drop them off to Linda Cumming's house (11 Milburn Drive) before 5:30pm today. Each baked item should be individually wrapped or bagged. Thank you for supporting this fund raising effort to benefit 4th Grade Day in June.
Basket Auction!
ASHA is thrilled to announce that the 16th Annual “Heart of Gold” Basket Auction was a HUGE success! The final numbers are still being finalized, but we are estimating a NET PROFIT of approximately $20,000 for our school! Whether you donated a basket, contributed to your class basket, attended the Auction or volunteered on a committee…we could not have done it without your support. Special thanks to the Co-Chairs for the many months of hard work that went into this event – Christine Battagliese, Kristin D’Avanzo, Christine Mastakas and Noelle McGowan.

TD Bank Affinity Program
Thank you to everyone who “linked” their TD Bank accounts to ASHA…we are pleased to announce that ASHA received a check for $1,031.00 from TD Bank! This is a NO COST, NO OBLIGATION fundraiser. TD Bank simply averages ASHA’s affinity member account balances and donates a percentage to our non-profit organization.
Young Authors Day
Thank you to Co-Chairs Jen Wilke and Maria Atlas for organizing Young Author’s Day! Award-winning children’s book author Tricia Hakes Noble visited Amsterdam School on February 5th and gave the students an engaging presentation of her best-selling books!
Life Skills
Life Skills is a district-wide program that provides clear messages about drug/alcohol/tobacco prevention, bullying, stress management, and keeping healthy mind and body. Thank you to Co-Chairs Kelly Young Mantegna and Kelly Ann Evans for organizing the parent volunteers who helped implement these important grade-level programs.
Science Fair
Please don't forget to fill out your student registration forms for the Science Fair by March 8th. Forms were recently sent home with your child; or you can log on to CommunityPass and complete your registration there. Our theme is "What Species Is That?" We will showcase various animals in the main commons area (ONLY) where you will learn about the six main species of the animal kingdom. Contact Rebecca Stone for more information.
